We are looking for an honest, enthusiastic, customer-friendly, well-groomed shop manager for our shop in Wilsele
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a motivated shop manager for one of our shops. Do you like making a shop a success? Are you great at motivating and managing a team? At MAES you do not manage your shop from behind your desk. On the contrary, as a shop manager at MAES you are a cooperating team leader on the shop floor. You coach your team in the shop and ensure that together you achieve the desired result! Because you know better than anyone that the success of your shop is a combination of good teamwork and 100% passion.
Your duties include:
- Serving customers at the till
- Replenishing shelves
- Service station pump maintenance and shop cleaning
- Coaching, mentoring and evaluating your team
- Ensuring optimal customer service
- Administrative tasks such as preparing hourly schedules, managing cash flow
- Placing orders and stock management
- Reporting to your regional manager
Skills and personal characteristics:
- You are sociable and customer-friendly
- You have a neat appearance
- You are stress-resistant and motivated
- You are punctual and reliable
- You are flexible
- With experience in Hospitality or Retail, you have an edge with us

36h per week, spread over 5 days.
Your shop is open 7/7, you are the first point of contact for your team at all times.
You will start with a trial contract for a few days but soon have the prospect of a permanent contract.
Experience
- Hospitality (Featured)
- Licence and/or certificate:
- Driving licence B (Recommended) and car
- Language: Dutch (required), French

Where will you end up?
We operate the shop at our petrol stations under the brand name l’Unique. Our shops can only be found at our petrol stations, moreover, they are more than just an ordinary petrol station shop. With l’Unique’s shops, we want to be more of a neighbourhood shop where you can go for everything you need.
Of course you have the traditional things you expect in a shop such as coffee, drinks (hot and cold), newspapers, magazines… In addition, on the shelves you also have things like cleaning and household products, canned goods, toilet paper and ice creams. There is even a delicious bakery for fresh rolls and other goodies!
