Bringing food on the plane

In Belgium, there are specific rules regarding bringing food on a plane. In general, you are allowed to bring food in your carry-on luggage. This includes snacks such as cookies, sandwiches, fruit and other prepackaged items. Liquid food, such as soups or sauces, may be brought, but within the restrictions that apply to liquids in carry-on baggage (usually no more than 100 ml per container and all containers must fit in a clear, resealable plastic bag of no more than one liter).

With international travel, rules can vary, so it is wise to check specific airline and destination regulations before departure.

Bringing food on the train

Unlike air travel, the rules regarding bringing food on trains are generally less strict. Travelers in Belgium can bring food on the train without many restrictions. This includes snacks, drinks and even hot food, as long as it does not disturb other passengers or cause an odor nuisance.

However, it is always good to consider fellow passengers and cleanliness in public places. So pack food in a way that can be eaten easily and without much mess.
