Ingredients
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
  1. Peel and coarsely grate the potatoes.
  2. Squeeze the excess liquid from the grated potatoes.
  3. Mix the grated potatoes with the chopped onion, salt and pepper.
  4. Heat butter or oil in a frying pan.
  5. Form small flat rounds from the potato mixture and fry on both sides until golden brown.

Mashed potatoes

Ingredients
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 50 g butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into equal pieces.
  2. Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft.
  3. Drain and mash the potatoes.
  4. Add the butter and milk and mix until creamy.

Fries

Gratin Dauphinois

Ingredients
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 500 ml of cream
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 100 g grated Gruyère or Emmental cheese

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
